Membership Login
When you order with us you have the option to register for Membership Login so that next time you order you can sign in with a password on the Members Login link on the home page. Your details will then be automatically included and don't need re-entering each time you reorder with us. You may unsubscribe from Membership Login at anytime.
Ordering & Delivery
When you order from African Extracts, you'll receive an order confirmation by email.
*We recommend you have your order sent to your place of work during the day, if possible.*
Delivery Lead Time - Orders placed will generally be dispatched within 24 hours of receipt of confirmation of payment or on the first possible working day.
New Zealand Delivery
You can choose a delivery option at checkout.
Economy delivery. We use Parcel Post and offer FREE DELIVERY in NZ on all orders over $15
$5 will be added at checkout on all orders under $15
Delivery time is targetted at 2 - 5 working days.
Courier Delivery - North Island Urban Areas. Post Haste couriers deliver overnight - 2 days, to all urban areas in the North Island. Rural areas attract a surcharge and are better served by NZ Post. If unsure please ask Post Haste (0800 106 828) if you are a surcharge free area. A flat $9 fee will be added at checkout.
Courier Delivery - South Island Urban Areas. Post Haste Couriers deliver in 2-3 days, to all urban areas in the South Island. Rural areas attract a surcharge and are better served by NZ Post. If unsure please ask Post Haste ( 0800 106 828) if you are a surcharge free area. A flat $12 fee will be added at checkout.
Australia Delivery
Your order will be sent by International Airmail. A flat $10 will be added to all Australian orders to cover P&P. Because Track and Trace is not available internationally we operate on an ALL CARE but cannot be responsible for the delivery once it leaves our hands. To date we have had no issues with deliveries - with reliable postal services on both sides of the Tasman.
We recommend you have your order sent to your place of work during the day, if possible.
International Delivery
Your order will be sent by International Airmail. The delivery fee will be calculated in 100gm increments as you shop. Because Track and Trace is not available internationally we will take ALL CARE but cannot be responsible for the delivery once it leaves our hands. If you prefer to use another delivery method for which tracking is available please email us your request but be aware that couriers are approx. three times the cost of the postal service. Any charges incurred after the parcel leaves New Zealand are your responsibility. This includes any taxes, duties or any other charges. Please be aware of what you may be liable for.

All prices are in New Zealand dollars.
You can select a Payment method at checkout time.
All International payments need to be made by credit card.
In NZ payment can be made by;
Credit Card via the worlds largest secure online payment system - Pay Pal (the fastest way)
Bank deposit - despatched once the funds appear in our account. (1 - 3 working days).
You will be emailed your order details and our bank account details with your Order Confirmation.
Cheque - despatched once funds have been deposited and cleared. (Approx 7 working days).

Online Security Advice
For payment by credit cards we use PAY PAL - a secure online payment system.
You need just to follow the instructions and we will get instant notification that the payment has been received.
Note: Only respond to requests for money that you are expecting; that are addressed to you personally and by name; and have our details also. If in doubt please email or phone us directly for confirmation. 04 972 0150.
Lost or damaged goods
Should you need to make a claim for missing, lost or damaged goods in transit this must be done in writing by email within 4 days of either the receipt of the products or the expected delivery date.

contact details. We will either replace the goods or refund your account in full. You will need to keep the product and packaging so we can make a claim against the courier service if deemed appropriate.
Refunds or exchanges
The nature of the product means our reselling of returned products is not usually appropriate.
NZ and Australian Policy
If we have erred, or the product or packaging is faulty then we will immediately replace or refund you. All other returns are at the discretion of African Extracts management and may include refunds, credits or exchanges depending on the circumstances.
This policy is in addition to your statutory rights under the NZ Consumers Guarantees Act.
International Policy
We will take ALL CARE and promise to check EVERY PRODUCT before it sent.
Every Item will be individually bubble wrapped and put in a bag for posting.
Boxed items (tissue oil, eye cream, lipbalm trios) will be bubble wrapped also but it is possible that some damage to the packaging may occur. We will try to minimize the chances of this by double wrapping these items and by carefully packing them with other items. In the end though these are better packed in a box. We are working on developing a price option for this.
'Best Before' Date Policy
'Best Before' dates are included on all our products. Unless a product has been identified as being "short dated" before it was ordered, we will not deliver products that are past 'Best Before' date or within 3 months of it.
Note that 'best before' is different from a 'use by' date and is an indication of the time the product is at its peak quality. Products may normally be happily used for quite sometime beyond this date.
